Digital moisture meter is used to measure moisture contents of food grains, oil seeds, vegetable seeds, pulses and spices etc. It is based on the principle of measurement of conductivity of the sample compressed to predetermined calibrated thickness. Compression is done to minimize the porosity effect. Instrument is rugged enough to give consistent results over a long period of time. Temperature compensation of the result is automatically done by the microcontroller based electronics.
